NOTES:

• Oil control was 9 out of 10. Pretty amazing considering I was not expecting high oil control based on the runny texture of today's mixture. This was also the first time I used the Rimmel 25 Hr foundation. I recently found them for $4 at Target as they are cleaning out their current inventory....almost everything make-up wise had a red clearance tag. Still formulating my thoughts on this foundation....will definitely have to use it a few more times to be sure. 
• First time using the No.7 powder blush (also picked this up at the Target sale) and I think it is very user-friendly and a flattering shade.

NOTES:

• Oil control was 6 out of 10. The Hourglass Ambient powder down the center of the face did nothing for oil control. For some reason, the combination of this matte fiona stiles + born this way got way too cakey looking, especially around my chin (I think this might be due to the fact that I didn't want to waste any of the mixture I pumped out, so I tried using it all....rookie mistake #1)......so I ended up spraying way too much NYX Dewy setting spray....thus, my oil control rating went way down. What can I say? I miscalculated the time restraint and got all hurried and anxious...so I made a few errors. I baby-wiped my chin and started over there....the finish on the rest of the face was tolerable and I also didn't have the time to do the entire complexion over. 
• First time using the i-Envy lash adhesive and it is also a fresh tube. Ahhh, it was wonderful. This is thanks to Zabrena for doing her eyelash adhesive video and recommending this one as "the one to try."
• I had a early dinner appointment at 3:00pm so these pictures were taken around 2:20pm, which is much earlier than I usually take my photos (around 4:00-4:30). I think the lighting is quite nice and lit compared to the recent posts that happened after Daylight Savings.

NOTES:

• Oil control was 8 out of 10. Beautiful finish. Blended so easily. Now I remember why I like this particular concoction. I think I know the reason my oil control got knocked down a point from the last time I used this mixture. I think it is the addition of the Hourglass Ambient Powder down the center of the face. While it provides a beautiful finish for an hour or so, it does nothing to control my oils there. Sigh.
• Very impressed by these KISS lashes, the way the tips of the lashes were designed to taper out mimicking real lashes....'tis very flattering. The ritzy style are particular fluttery, provides a lot of volume without being over the top. 
• First time wearing the Melt By Starlight lipstick. Nice color, nice finish. Bad: very high maintenance. Started to bleed around the edges (even though I used a lip liner) and looked a bit patchy on my lips a few hours in (even though I built up the color with a couple of layers, blotted, and layered).
• Still love that Laura Geller blush! 
• I am rediscovering my love for the Fyrinnae Highlighters.

NOTES:

• Oil control was 8 out of 10. I didn't even use a face setting powder this day so for oil control to be at an 8 is pretty amazing. Not using a setting powder is very rare for me, but I noticed this foundation mixture set to a powdered finish so I figured I'd try it on its own without any additional powder. Very impressed. Only odd thing I noticed was the application process of this particular mixture (I speculate it had to do with the new Kiko foundation). Maybe the mixture dries and sets super quickly because I noticed some product clumping as I was blending the mixture out. It still looked fine and blended in the end, just during blending was kind of weird. Perhaps, I will try to work in sections next time instead of the whole face at once.  
• I sanitize every single item after each use and as I was doing so with the Stormy Sahara, I noticed how similar in shade it was to the new Melt Lipstick shade in On-The-Go from the new Prime Rose collection. Major difference is the finish, Maybelline's is creamy while the Melt's is matte. Stormy Sahara is quickly becoming one of my favorite nudes for my skin tone. 
• I love Milani baked blushes. This was my first time using the Red Vino shade. Um, I did my usual swirl in the product and did not expect to get the amount of pigment I did. Oh my goodness. I was blushing up a storm like I had just come in from a blizzard. No worries, I tone it down with some loose face powder and some of the Clinique redness reducing yellow powder. The final result is a lot more blush than I am used to wearing, but I made it work. 
• First time using the Makeup Geek Highlighter. I got the bundle with three shades. The texture of the powder is very nice and smooth. Um, photographs well. I have so many highlighters in my collection since I discovered Looxi Beauty, Devinah, Beauty Escape, etc etc etc...that it takes a lot to impress me. I am not disappointed, but my mind is not blown by the shade itself. If we talk about the packaging though, I do find it very sleek and neat and aesthetically pleasing. 
• Mehron INtense Pro Pressed Pigment Eyeshadow are AWESOME! Night Sky (the light purple) is a little streaky. But...Tornado, Solar Wind (new fave), and this Tropical Storm work like a dream: color saturated pigment and so easy to blend. Yes, yes yes!
• First time using the Kiko high pigment shadows. The powder is very creamy, pigmented, and blend-able. The color is very pretty. What else can I ask for?  Maybe to serve me up a slice of key lime pie? I have finally settled on my favorite kind of pie and it has to be key lime. Oh, the things you learn about yourself as you age. I still surprise me! Random revelation, check.

NOTES:

• Oil control was 9 out of 10. The more I use the Fiona Stiles/Too Faced foundation mixture, the more I am liking it. Maybe it has to do with the Flower Beauty setting powder as well, but lately my foundation has been holding up very well toward the end of the night. Well, maybe the cooler weather plays a factor too. Still, I like the light medium coverage (I use a damp sponge), blend-ability and finish of the foundation mixture. The more often I use it, the less I find myself having to think about what to mix on this particular day of makeup application. 
• First time using Melt Cosmetics. The matte lipstick feels more like a satin-matte to me, which I have no complaints about because my lips felt fine at the end of a 5 hour wear, not dried out or flaky at all. The color of this particular shade, On-The-Go, faded gracefully, which I can appreciate. The eyeshadows did not disappoint either, especially the Lovesick color, which is the whole reason behind my purchasing the Lovesick Stack.....conclusion: totally worth it. The other three colors were not special to me since I feel I have something similar if not the same in my current collection, but at least the formula of the shadows are nice. It is true what people say about the nice quality of their shadows. Top-notch!

NOTES:

• Oil control was 9 out of 10. Mixture applied/blended smoothly and easily. Dried to a satin-matte. Looked wonderful by the end of the night. 
• It has been a long time since I've used Covergirl cheekers blush. I picked one up recently at Target. Emilynoel83 and Vitalestyle have mentioned them in the past and Tati mentioned them recently in a Covergirl tutorial she did. I have been meaning to pick one up again to try but I've just got so many blush options in my collection, I never got around to it (you make up junkies can relate, I'm sure). Soft sable is a very natural color and the finish has a slight sheen to it, quite beautiful. When applied, it might look like it is barely there, but BAM does it show up when photographed! 
• I recently washed a ton of new brushes during my Thanksgiving day off. These were brushes that I bought many months ago and they have just been sitting in my Need-to-Wash-Holder. So since they were clean, I figured I would switch up some of the powder setting brushes I usually use with these new ones. I used the Real Technique setting brush for my concealer and a Elite Morphe brush for my entire face. Worked ok, just felt out-of-the-norm for me because I had to think about which brushes to use as opposed to always reaching for the same brushes I set out specifically for each task each time. 
• So I really wanted to use the Milani Tuscan Toast color that I picked up a month ago, but I wasn't so sure it went with the look upon application. So I threw in some other lipstick shades to help adjust. The color and finish of Tuscan Toast is lovely, I just think I will pair this color with something a little lighter on the eyes or at least something more subdued next time.  
• In love with Solar Wind, will definitely be using this shade a lot more. It looked great against my light olive skin tone.
