Notes:

• Oil control was 9 out of 10. Pretty good considering I added an unknown shimmer (temptu one, a pretty big drop...it got away from me) to the mix.  
• The Cosma highlighter is an amazing color. It's white with a green sheen in the pan, but on the skin...the color translates to a neon green opalescent glow. T'is a good kind of weird on the skin.  
• NYX "Bedroom Eyes"...? The name made me chuckle out loud. Ok-ay. Oh, what a great job that would be to be assigning names to products. I would like a job like that. 
• I forgot to apply my brow bone highlight today. That is the first time I have forgotten to do that in a while. Truth be told, I did not plan on doing a look today simply because of the weather. Bad weather was predicted and bad weather happened (I use natural lighting, so it would be hard to get good pictures without some sun), then there were bouts of sunshine every now and then. So I thought to take advantage, but then the sun would go away again. So I was a bit flustered, I suppose.

Notes:

• Oil control was 9 out of 10. Impressive considering the amount of "dew" I mixed into the mixture. The only foundation that had any oil control factor was the Almay. Givenchy is a very watery, light foundation and the EX1, in my experience, does not control oil for my skin. 
• Today's NYX Prismatic shadows were not as amazing as their other sibilings that I used in previous days. Jaded has the same smooth texture, but the color took a bit of work to build and have it stay as pigmented as I wanted it. Golden Peach the hardest texture out of the ones that I have tried (blue jean, fireball, girl talk...) Fading as well as fallout was minimal, but then again, as you can see in the pictures, the colors are not very strong to begin with. These two blended out nicely enough, I have to give them points for that. I would rather have shadows that blend nicely that lack a little bit of color versus super pigmented shadows that do not blend at all. 
• I have to incorporate my Comfort Zone palette into more looks. Using the shadows in that palette today made me realize how wonderful in texture, color payoff, and blend-ability they are. I have too much out-of-sight makeup that I just forget what I have sometimes.

Notes:

• Oil control was 9 out of 10. I was pretty impressed given the fact that I did add a Revlon Skinlights to the mixture and that it was a humid day. 
• I liked the Down Boy blush so much (from yesterday) that I had to use it again today.
• I have 6 of the NYX Prismatic shadows in my collection. Now I have used 3 out of those 6 and I have to say, I am impressed. The color transfers well from the pan to the skin. They not only swatch amazing, but they look great applied on the eyelids as well. The pigmentation is excellent and the color does not fade or crease on me. I still have 3 more left to play with, but I can definitely recommend the 3 I have used so far.

Notes:

• Oil control was 8 out of 10. Not bad. 
• Now I know when blue + red = purple, but I wasn't thinking about that when I paired a light pink blush with a light blue highlighter. That is exactly what happened on my cheeks when I finished. The Down Boy blush paired with the Luna highlighter gave off a light lilac finish. Surprised me! Now the light pink blush doesn't actually alter the fact that the shimmer is still blue, it's just that when the blue is sitting on top of the pink, I guess the eyes see the illusion of lilac...if that makes any sense. 
• 725 Lilac Flush lipstick applies a bit streaky on the lips. The evenness of pigmentation just isn't there. The lipstick swatches nicely on the skin, but it is a different story on the lips. This is why I like to use it as a topper and use it in combination with other lipstick to alter a shade to my liking.

Notes:

• Oil control was 8 out of 10. Only variable was the Revlon Skinlights, so that added dewiness factor may have lowered the oil control factor. Regardless, the overall foundation still looked really nice at the end of an extremely humid day. 
• I love the way my lashes turned out today. I am using a new lash primer on both eyes today (the last time I tried it, I only put it on one eye to see if I can tell a different between the tarte vs the j cats). Hmm, so I don't know if it is the primer that is making a different or just the application technique that I used today that made them super clean and super long-looking or the combination of mascaras or all three. Anyway, I think they look really nice and noticeable today. 
• I was watching one of Angelica Nyqvist's (angeschka on instagram) youtube videos on creating your own palette from what you may have modeled after current trending/popular palettes. She mentioned a ton of Coastal Scents hot pots in her latest one, so that promptly me to pull out my own collection of those hot pots and put them to use. To be honest, I bought them a while ago, but never really gave them a good go because I just had too many new as well as other beauty products coming in and cycling through. Hmm, they're ok compared to all the eyeshadows I have ever used. They are great for the price that you are getting them for. So if you are on a budget, these are worth considering. I have to try all the colors in my hot pots collection to gain an overall perspective, but so far so good. The colors build and fallout is minimal. The color pigmentation vary from shade to shade.

Notes:

• Oil control was 7 out of 10. Foundation mixture is the same with a couple of variables today: smashbox primer, becca backlight priming filter, and no nivea balm. Hmm, I think the lack of the nivea balm made the oil control factor go down, which means the smashbox and becca did nothing to help control the oil. The result at the end of the night wasn't the most terrible, but I liked the results with the nivea balm a lot better. 
• This was my first time using Looxi Beauty's matte eyeshadows. The texture is very soft and smooth to the touch. I used the colourpop shadow underneath for the shadow to have something to grab onto, but for some reason, the color kept fading every 5 minutes. I had to really layer and layer time and time again. Maybe because it is a lighter shade or maybe I need to try a different base. I will keep playing with it.

Notes:

• Oil control was 9 out of 10. Foundation mixture is the same with two variables today: different setting powder & setting spray. I will keep playing around with the combination of products to see but I am guessing that the this foundation mixture is a winner. 
• The Smashbox primer pilled on my skin big time. I don't know if it is the product itself or it just doesn't jive with the nivea balm. The nivea balm had already been sitting on my skin for over an hour so it had plenty of time to sink in. I will try the smashbox primer again with a different moisturizer. The consistency/texture of the smashbox pore minimizing primer is similar to Loreal Youth Code Texture Perfector Pore Vanisher and also the Benefit POREfessional.

Notes:

• Oil control was 9 out of 10. Pretty consistent with the last couple of uses. 
• First time using Devinah Cosmetics eyeshadows. Both the shimmer and matte finishes were so easy to work with, effortless really. I was especially blown away by the matte formula because I experienced no fallout, easy to build pigmentation, and amazing evenness of pigment. I am very happy with the quality and ease of use. I have already placed my second order with them for more shadows and highlighters. 
• I have one more use left of the Rose Hip Oil. I think I will move on to the Coconut one next. I guess I must like these since I will be on my third one. They're just great for prepping the lips while I am doing my face & eyes.
